How To Install Toilet Partitions?
Toilet partition fittings are installed by setting out the panel positions, anchoring the support legs and wall brackets, leveling the partitions, hanging the doors, and fitting the hinges, indicator Locks, hooks, and top supports. Accurate measurement is essential because small errors can produce uneven gaps or doors that do not close automatically.
The exact sequence depends on whether the system is floor-mounted, overhead-braced, ceiling-hung, or floor-to-ceiling.

Review the Layout and Hardware Schedule
Confirm the finished restroom dimensions before drilling.
Check the approved drawings against the actual floor, walls, ceiling, plumbing, tile joints, and accessible-compartment requirements.
Organize the fittings by cubicle:

Protective gaskets
Verify that the screws and anchors are suitable for the wall and floor materials. A fastener intended for concrete may not be suitable for hollow block, lightweight board, metal framing, or stone.
Keep protective film on finished stainless steel parts until the high-risk drilling and alignment work is complete.
Mark the Partition Lines
Use the project drawing to mark the front line of the cubicles and the positions of the dividing panels.
Confirm that the entrance widths and door swings are correct.
Transfer the reference lines to the walls and floor using a laser or level. Do not rely only on tile joints because they may not be perfectly straight or square.
Check the diagonals of the complete layout.
Errors should be corrected at the setting-out stage rather than hidden by forcing the panels during final assembly.
Install the Wall Brackets and Panel Holders
Position each wall bracket according to the panel thickness and required clearance.
Mark the drilling holes and check for concealed pipes or cables before drilling.
Fix the brackets securely and keep them vertically aligned.
Insert protective gaskets where the hardware contacts glass or finished panel surfaces. Metal should not press directly against glass unless the fitting is specifically designed for that contact.
Place the divider panel into the brackets but leave enough adjustment for leveling.
Tighten screws gradually. Uneven clamping can twist the panel or damage compact laminate edges.
Fit the toilet partition legs
Mark the leg positions beneath the front pilasters or panels.
Drill the floor and install the approved anchors. In wet areas, protect the penetrations according to the project’s waterproofing requirements.
Attach the legs and set their initial height.
Stainless steel partition legs may include an internal adjustment structure that helps compensate for floor variation. Use this adjustment to keep the panel vertical and maintain the specified floor clearance.
Do not use the leg adjustment to correct a major layout error.
Check that every base is firmly anchored and that the load is distributed evenly.
Position the Pilasters and Top Support
Connect the front pilasters to the divider panels and floor supports.
Use a level to check each upright in both directions.
For an overhead-braced system, install the top rail after the pilasters are aligned. The rail helps connect the front line and reduces movement.
Cut or join the rail according to the system instructions. Protect cut metal edges and remove sharp burrs.
Tighten the structure progressively rather than locking one cubicle completely before checking the remaining row.
A continuous visual check helps maintain consistent door openings and panel heights.
Hang the Partition Door
Mark the hinge positions from the approved template.
Spring hinges must be installed in the correct orientation so the door returns toward its intended closed or neutral position.
Support the door during fitting. Do not allow the complete door weight to hang from one partially tightened hinge.
Set the top and bottom gaps evenly.
Adjust the hinges until the door:
Swings without rubbing
Returns smoothly
Remains aligned with the pilaster
Has consistent vertical gaps
Avoids excessive closing impact
Holds the required privacy position
Spring force should suit the door weight and width. Excessive force can create noise and increase stress on the fittings.
Install the Indicator Lock and Door Accessories
Position the indicator lock at a comfortable and project-approved height.
Confirm that the internal knob and external indicator correspond correctly. The vacant and occupied display should change fully when the lock is operated.
Align the lock bolt with its receiver. A misaligned receiver can make the knob stiff or prevent secure locking.
Install the door knob, pull, hook, and stopper using suitable templates.
Hooks should be positioned so bags and clothing do not interfere with the lock or door movement.
Concealed fixings should be tightened before covers are installed.
Complete the Final Alignment
After all cubicles are assembled, inspect the complete row.
Check:
Panel verticality
Pilaster alignment
Floor clearance
Door gaps
Hinge return
Lock operation
Indicator visibility
Hook security
Top-rail stability
Sharp edges and exposed fixings
Operate every door repeatedly.
Clean drilling dust and metal particles from the floor and hardware. Do not use an abrasive pad on satin stainless steel because it can change the brushing direction.
Remove protective film and complete a final appearance inspection under the restroom lighting.
