The Glass Door Floor Guide is a floor-mounted positioning and guiding device that limits the trajectory of a glass sliding door, ensuring stability and preventing swinging or drifting. It contacts the door's bottom edge, guiding the glass smoothly along its intended path. Its compact design and sleek profile ensure a low-profile, seamless integration with the glass door system.

Glass Door Floor Guide features
Precision Dimensions
The Glass Door Floor Guide measures 50mm long, 30mm wide, and 22.5mm high. The bottom fixing holes have a spacing of 37mm, and the clamping slot widths are available in 5, 8, 10, and 12mm widths, making it suitable for glass doors of varying thicknesses. Machining tolerances are controlled within ±0.1mm, and the slot width tolerance does not exceed ±0.05mm, ensuring a tight fit between the bottom edge of the glass and the guide slot. After installation, lateral play of the door is controlled within 1mm, ensuring smooth door operation.
High-Strength Construction
The main body is constructed of SUS304 or SUS316 stainless steel, with tensile strengths of 515 MPa and 530 MPa, respectively, and a yield strength of approximately 205 MPa. The bottom mounting holes are designed with dual screws, offering a shear resistance exceeding 2000N when tightened, ensuring long-term resistance to frequent door movement.
Corrosion Resistance
SUS304 remained free of red rust in a 48-hour neutral salt spray test, while SUS316 showed no signs of corrosion after a 96-hour test. The surface features a matte brushed finish with a surface roughness of approximately 0.8 to 1 micron (Ra), effectively reducing moisture adhesion and preventing rust and sticking.
Smooth Guidance
The guide groove design features a U-shaped curved bottom structure, combined with rubber or nylon cushioning pads, to ensure the glass door maintains a single direction during sliding. The coefficient of friction is approximately 0.2 to 0.3, effectively reducing resistance and preventing door sway during sliding.
Exterior Craftsmanship
The surface has a meticulous matte brushed finish, creating a uniform metallic texture with a glossiness of approximately 60GU, providing a delicate touch. The corners are rounded to 2mm on both sides to prevent scratches and create a soft, smooth appearance. This finish harmonizes with modern architectural glass systems, creating a seamless installation and facilitating cleaning and maintenance.
Bathroom Sliding Doors
Glass Door Floor Guides are widely used in glass sliding door systems for private bathrooms or shower rooms. Installed beneath the door, they restrict the door's trajectory, preventing door movement caused by wet floors or water vapor expansion during opening and closing. Made of SUS316 stainless steel, they offer long-term resistance to corrosion from hot steam and detergents, maintaining door stability and accurate seal alignment, enhancing waterproofing and durability.
Hotel Partitions
Glass Door Floor Guides are used in glass partition sliding doors in areas such as hotel lobbies. The floor guides control the door's sliding path, preventing movement during frequent use. The guide structure withstands hundreds of thousands of sliding cycles in high-frequency environments, ensuring safe operation and a long service life in public spaces. They are suitable for heavy-duty sliding door systems.
Shop Fronts
Glass Door Floor Guides are suitable for single-track or double-track glass doors in shop windows. The floor guides maintain vertical movement, preventing swaying caused by strong winds or frequent opening and closing, ensuring the door maintains its position relative to the door frame. By providing a stable guide, it reduces wear on the glass edge from contact with the floor, extending the overall service life of the door.
Exhibition Hall Glass Door
This can be used in sliding glass door systems in exhibition spaces such as exhibition halls. The floor guide precisely controls the door's movement, ensuring smooth opening and closing, and preventing any wobbling that could affect the visual experience. Its matte finish blends seamlessly with the glass, preventing interference with display light and making it suitable for high-end commercial spaces.
Glass Door Floor Guide maintenance
Surface Cleaning
Every two weeks, wipe the floor guide surface with a soft cloth dampened with a neutral detergent to remove dust, water stains, and laundry residue. Keeping the metal surface clean prevents the accumulation of dirt and water alkali, which can cause marks, and maintains the matte, brushed finish.
Rail Groove Cleaning
Clean the floor guide grooves monthly to remove accumulated sand or hair. Use a fine-bristled brush or vacuum cleaner. Prolonged accumulation of impurities can increase the friction between the glass and the groove, affecting smooth sliding and even causing scratches.
Lubrication
Every three months, apply a small amount of dry lubricant, such as silicone-based spray or graphite powder, to the bottom of the groove to form a protective film and reduce sliding resistance. After lubrication, keep the surface clean to prevent lubricant from spilling and contaminating the floor.
Tightening Check
Every six months, use a hexagonal wrench to check for loose mounting screws. If loose, re-tighten to 4 to 5 Nm to ensure the guide groove remains secure and in place. After inspection, manually test the sliding door to ensure correct tracking.
Anti-corrosion Maintenance
For use near bathrooms or balconies, apply a light coat of anti-rust oil quarterly to enhance moisture resistance. If dark spots or slight rust appear on the metal surface, gently rub with stainless steel cleaning paste along the grain, then wipe clean with a dry cloth to maintain the metal's passivation layer intact.
